Pictures of 2012 Sale Bulls coming soon!

2011 Sale Report:

Glenisa Angus Stud Principal, Dr Ced Wise could not be happier following the success of the inaugural Glenisa sale held in August 2011 at Silver Downs selling complex Tenterfield.

A line of 72 Angus bulls was offered with a 100% clearance rate at an average price of $5,000.  Lot 5 Glenisa Englishman, an impressive 2 year old son of Knowla Zenith Z40 was purchased by John Osborne of Omicron Pastoral Company, Gore for a sale high of $11,000.

The Hartley family of Kinha, Injune purchased a run 16 bulls at an average price of just over $4,000 while Alan Fletcher of Glen Innes put together an impressive line of five bulls for an average price of $4,800.

Glenisa Angus bulls will now be making their mark from as far north as Charters Towers west to Cameron’s Corner and as far south as Ben and Sue Olbrich Stud at Cygnet in Tasmania.

Ced believes that the success of the sale was confirmation that the bulls offered presented good value at affordable prices to not only stud breeders but also commercial cattlemen.

Glenisa would like to thank all those people who supported the sale so strongly.  There were many repeat clients and the support of local producers was very gratifying.

The sale drew a large number of bidders from the New England Tablelands, Tenterfield, Stanthorpe and Warwick districts and was a reflection of the current trend towards Angus cattle.

“The great outcome of the sale and the many positive comments we received about the quality of the line of bulls, gives us the confidence to immediately begin planning our 2012 sale,” Ced Wise said.

The stud manager was also thrilled with the outcome of the sale and said “It is a great result and we are already working towards increasing the numbers of quality sale lots in 2012 to cater to the needs of the volume buyer.”
